What Caught Between My Master and His Imposter is about
Julian stands to inherit an old-money family's fortune, and he has a new personal bodyguard: Cole, a veteran with a cold streak. Then comes a kidnapping. Julian is returned, or someone who looks exactly like him is. Cole works out that the man he guards is no longer human. A monster from the deep sea called Elio is wearing Julian's skin. Elio has swallowed part of Julian's memories and has fixed on Cole with an unhealthy attachment. Cole can neither expose the creature nor get away from it, so he keeps standing guard at close range.
