What When the Table Turned is about
Claire Reed and her husband, Ryan Hayes, spend the holiday at his parents' house. Claire's mother-in-law refuses to let Claire's daughter have any of the fish and says tradition is the reason. Claire lets it go.
Later she finds the family of her sister-in-law eating that same fish. Tradition had nothing to do with it. The fish was kept from her daughter because Claire never gave the family a son, and once she understands that, she flips the dinner table over in anger.
