In week 42 of 2026 (Oct 12 to Oct 18, 2026), the 25 fastest-rising short dramas we track gained 89M views between them. Love Is A Dangerous Game led with +17M on DramaBox, ahead of Forbidden Fling With My Bestie's Dad (+12M) and Poisoned by His Love (+8.9M). It also topped the chart the week before.
By app, the 25 places split ReelShort 17, DramaBox 8. One of them, Bound by Hatred, was released during the week or the week before.
Compared with week 41, 2 of the 25 titles are new to the chart, the highest of them Bound by Hatred at number 4. The biggest climber was Step Back! I'm the Hidden King, up from number 25 to number 21.
The most common tropes on this week's chart were billionaire romance (9), hidden identity (8), and contract marriage (8).
Views gained is each series' view counter on Sunday Oct 18, 2026 minus the same counter on Sunday Oct 11, 2026, from our own snapshots of the apps' public pages (a day earlier where a scrape missed the Sunday). A title needs a snapshot at both ends of the week to be ranked. View counters come from each app and are not audited by us.
