What Faking It with My Ex's Best Friend is about
Clara pretends she has lost her memory to see how her boyfriend will react. The test backfires. She catches him cheating, and he brushes her off, leaving her with his best friend, Ethan.
Clara keeps up the amnesia act and decides to use it. She and Ethan start a pretend relationship, partly to get back at her ex, and the two students soon find that the pretending is harder to control than they planned. The line between acting and meaning it gets thinner the longer they keep it up.
